How do I become a DemiAir?
How much does a DemiAir cost?
A Demi Air earns an amount decided on by you and the Demi Air, paid per hour of travel. Travellers also pay a small booking fee. Payment is forwarded when the journey is complete.
Who pays for the flight?
The Demi Air pays for their own flight. They are paid for the hours they work for their client in between customs gates or during the flight. The hourly rate is agreed on before the job starts.
How does it work?
For Travellers
Book your flight or decide on your dates and travel destination.
Create a Traveller profile, then search the Demi Air database and/or place your request for assistance, detailing the support you need and the type of care.
Eligible DemiAirs who are travelling to the same place at the same time can respond to your listing and you can connect to work out the details.
On the day: You will meet with your Demi Air after clearing customers or at the departure gate, depending on what you have agreed. Their service will finish when you disembark or leave customs at your destination.
At the end of your experience, leave a review and payment will be released.
Case Study:
Lauren is travelling from Sydney to Los Angeles with a four-year-old and a six-month-old baby. She uses the Demi Air platform to find and hire an experienced babysitter called Dani, who can help during the flight.
Dani and Lauren meet at Sydney Airport in the Duty Free shopping area. Dani helps Lauren by making sure the four-year-old has had lunch and gone to the toilet before departure. She manages the stroller and carry-on luggage as the family boards the plane.
During the flight, Lauren and Dani take turns sitting with the children. Dani takes the baby for a walk while Lauren has her meals, and they swap out during the night so Lauren can get some restful sleep.
When the plane lands, Dani helps Lauren to disembark and make her way through customs. Lauren’s husband is waiting at the other side of the gate. Dani is paid for 11 hours of work and uses the money to offset the cost of her flight.
