About the Founder
Monique Atab is an international traveller and working mother who found herself wishing for cost-effective help while in transit.
After living in Dubai and circumnavigating the globe with a small child, Monique recognised the need for in-flight au pairs and carers. Knowing that the cost of an extra ticket is beyond most people’s budget, she came up with the concept for Demi Air.
“Simple things like getting to your gate, making it to the bathroom on the plane and even dealing with those tiny trays of food can make travelling alone difficult when you are elderly, living with a disability or managing a toddler. This is not to mention the stress caused by language barriers and increasingly vast international airports! Flight attendants can only do so much. It’s sad to think about how many people miss out on the opportunity to visit friends and family because of fear or overwhelm.
